About ADS

Accessible Dental Services (ADS) provides specialized, high-quality dental services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs in a safe and secure environment.  Our professional team of dentists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and dental support staff are experienced in supporting the patient population of ADS and are compassionate and understanding of the unique needs of each patient.

ADS is committed to being accessible and affordable to the patients ADS is privileged to serve.  To this end, ADS offers a full range of dental services, including both sedation and non-sedation treatments, and accepts a wide range of dental insurance carriers, including Medicaid and Medicare plans.

ADS has five clinic locations in Pennsylvania: Rochester, Murrysville, Mt. Pleasant, Greentree, and Laporte.  ADS also has a mobile dental unit that provides access to the specialized dental services of ADS to patients within their local communities.

ADS proactively engages in the training of dental students, with the goal for more graduating dentists entering the workforce feeling comfortable treating individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. Through an established partnership with the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, third- and fourth-year dental students complete rotations at ADS, working under the direction of our Dental Director and receiving hands-on experience in providing dental care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs.

ADS’ parent organization is Passavant Memorial Homes (PMH), a private, non-profit human service organization that was established in 1895 and provides residential, educational, recreational, and vocational opportunities to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. In addition to ADS, PMH also includes PDC Pharmacy, Life Enrichment Trust, and Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation, and these organizations are collectively referred to as Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services (PMHFOS). Together, PMHFOS offers a comprehensive array of support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs, providing the highest quality of supports while promoting choice and independence.  To learn more about PMHFOS, please visit pmhfos.org.
