Why Choose ADS
Solely focusing on the dental care of patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs generates many aspects that differentiate Accessible Dental Service (ADS) from other dental practices.

Specialized Services
ADS exclusively provides dental care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. The treatment options available at ADS are designed to meet the diverse and unique needs of the ADS patient population, offering both sedation and non-sedation treatments. ADS clinic locations are also specifically designed to ensure wheelchair accessibility, full Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, and pre- and post-appointment accommodations for patients and caregivers.
Tailored Expertise
The dentists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and dental support staff at ADS have years of experience in providing dental care to patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. The team is compassionate and understanding of the unique needs of each patient and is committed to promoting oral health and wellbeing for every patient that ADS is privileged to serve.
In particular, ADS’s Dental Director, Dr. David Pavasko, DMD, has been serving patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs for more than 25 years. To learn more about the ADS team, please see our Meet the ADS Team page.
Accessibility and Affordability
ADS is dedicated to ensuring that quality dental care is accessible to patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. As part of our commitment to access, as noted above, all of our clinic locations are wheelchair accessible and meet all ADA requirements. In addition, and to further promote accessibility, ADS has a mobile dental unit [Link to the Mobile Dental Unit page] that travels to geographies to provide dental care to individuals within their local communities. Further, ADS ensures access through affordability by accepting a wide range of dental insurance carriers, including Medicaid and Medicare plans. Visit our Insurance page to learn more about our accepted plans.
Patient-Centered Care
ADS is committed to providing patient-centered care for each and every individual that ADS is privileged to serve. ADS is aware that many individuals with disabilities may not be able to sit in a typical dental chair, or may be uncomfortable with undergoing dental procedures. In some cases, a routine cleaning and exam may require anesthesia and/or additional considerations. As a result, our team of professionals schedule extended appointments, provide treatment accommodations based upon the patient’s needs, and ensure additional support through ADS personnel who are compassionate and trained specifically to support patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs.
Regulatory Compliance
In addition to ensuring all patients are receiving the highest quality of dental services, thus promoting oral care, ADS understands the regulatory requirements for patients who are supported by a provider agency. ADS assists with compliant scheduling, ensuring non-sedation and sedation appointments are scheduled per regulatory timeline requirements, as well as within the allowable payment windows of insurance providers.
