Frequently Asked Questions
Accessible Dental Services is committed to serving individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs, providing high-quality, compassionate dental care in a safe and secure environment.
In an effort to ensure that all patients have access to a complete and thorough dental examination, including any needed restorative services, Accessible Dental Services offers both non-sedation and intravenous (IV) sedation dental treatments, based upon each patient’s unique needs. For more information on dental treatments, please see our Types of Dental Treatment page.
ADS strictly requires that each patient have two responsible adult caregivers with them to take them home after their sedation appointment. For safety reasons, in addition to the driver of the vehicle, the second caregiver is necessary to care for any patients in the vehicle who were sedated. Patients will not be allowed to leave alone or drive themselves home, and patients arriving without two adult caregivers will have their appointment rescheduled. Please also note that contact lenses, jewelry, and nail polish must be removed prior to the patient’s sedation.
